Those mountain forests north of Santa Cruz are a truly unique region. Once you get off the beaten track, there’s no telling what you’ll find, and no limits. It’s like its own strange world. I’m putting Hard Mountain Clay high on my list of must reads.
Great Interview. I'm sold on Hard Mountain Clay. On my way to find it.
It's a great book.
Congrats on making the anthology!
Thanks Richard, check the story prompts at Stone's Throw. They're intriguing and tend to generate great stories!
Thanks if they like you and they like me, then I like them, and we like each other. Something like that : )
Spread the love!
On the list
Love this interview. It's like you knew I needed to read Hard Mountain Clay. Just ordered
I'm willing to bet you'll love it....
Just read the sample pages of Hard Mountain Clay. Flawless and exciting prose. Will have to pick up the book.
It's an excellent book.
Great interview with a talented writer, Martine. I’ve had the pleasure of hanging out with CW, and he’s a standup guy.
More people should know CW’s work.
"The Referee" - fantastic! Read this with interest, esp. enjoyed the description of the stream of consciousness outline method.
It is such a good story, no wonder it won an award!

I have to thank C.W. for bringing that part of California to my attention, and the book is a total immersion. You'll enjoy it.
Congrats and thanks for sharing
Great interview with C.W. Blackwell! I'm looking forward to reading his novel, and the latest RHP Stone's Throw anthology, too. Congrats to you both!
Thank you, Marina!
