What's interesting here is all the genre splitting: noir mystery, cozy mystery, paranormal mystery (what I now dabble in), and so on. Something for everyone. So wonderful.
I didn’t realize how the murder mystery genre could diverge like this. Of course, Murder, She Wrote and CSI inhabit far different spaces in film, so duh! Anyway, I enjoyed this post and learned about cozies!! Oh, PS. I listened to CLINT on tape, another great Burke work. Definitely NOT cozy!! ❤️
I haven't read "Clete" yet, it's on my TBR (so high, so big, so huge ... need more time!!!!!). Talking about Burke, have you read "Tin Roof Blowdown"? It's his Katrina book and incredibly strong, my #1. I also learned about cozies thanks to Nancy, I seldom mosey that way ...
Nancy and I go way, way back. This was a fun and interesting article. I think my books fall halfway between the two of yours.
The crime genre is so flexible, I enjoy showing readers how we can spin it!

You really can go anywhere you want with it, such a pleasure.
Side by side is a great approach.
I think I got a cozy life. That's not good btw : )
Interesting. I really enjoyed this.
Always fun to see how we look at things with our separate binoculars!
Very cool. Loved this.
Dipping a toe in cozy...
Great post! Thanks for including me. Very clever idea.
It was a ton of fun having you, Nancy. we need to do it again...
This was a fun read.
Thanks Tricia, it was a ton of fun to put together!
Oops. Clete! Oh well. I have not read Tim Roof yet. I will put that on my list! Can’t wait for the new Declan Shaw!!!
19 days.... getting hot!
