I'm editing now, working my way slowly through 70,000 pages of a novel which when published will be my 28th book. Yikes. I think it's the best non-genre fiction I've written and slow reading/editing fits the heat and the Canadian haze we've been getting.
If giving Suzanne a little polish keeps your writing fingers tapping, I say go for it! Had Noel's line running through my mind as I read, et voila, he appeared... Congrats on the pub of your short story, Martine!
Ahahah! Well done! I'm toying with a short story that I'm about to completely rewrite, so I get the point. I'm not about to try a Poels or a limerick, though.
Keep writing, whatever path you choose!

Thank you. Funny how the mind works, right? Mad dogs... well, of course, Englishmen, lol!
Go for it! Love the imagery especially as I soaked through bra and shirt on a late morning walk. And it’s only a chillin 81 in the shade here.
if you're feeling the heat and elation
Interferes with your creations,
Why not try writing complet;y fresh
A totally new direction?
True, it's new and may worry you
That it will be full of unforeseen imperfectiions
But the stew may contain a major plot gem or two
and engender a resuurection
And iif you dont like this brand new caper
Start a new agiain but make sure there's enough paper

Love this.
Thanks Tricia!
